Real Madrid president wants academy graduate to sign a renewal, 1+1 contract offered

Nacho Fernandez’s professionalism and attitude on the field is something special. Despite not being a regular starter at Real Madrid, the centre-back plays brings out his best version without fuss whenever given the chance to shine and leads by example.
Yet, his reluctance to sign a new deal with Real Madrid is understandable. At 33 years of age, the Spaniard is close to the twilight of his career and thus wishes to be a regular starter for a top team. The chance of that happening in the Spanish capital is very low.
According to reports from MARCA, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez really wants Nacho to renew with the Merengues.
The club have already sent an offer to the defenders’ entourage that is similar to the one they offered to Sergio Ramos before he left – a one-year extension with the option to add another.
Despite starting the 2022/23 season largely as a substitute player, Nacho defender has seen a significant rise in stocks in recent months. He has been the one to cover for any injuries in the back line, be it at right-back, left-back, or in central defence.
The academy graduate’s great relationship with the club and administration will make his renewal easy once decided upon.
Yet, as the player revealed himself, there are a number of factors governing his call.
“I’m happy playing here. I want to focus on the season and whatever happens, will be a personal decision and with respect for the club because we have a magnificent relationship.”
The 33-year-old’s role in the crucial games to come, thus, will prove vital to his decision. After all, Nacho only asks for minutes in exchange for his special loyalty.
The Real Madrid star has started on ten of his 17 appearances in La Liga this season and has overseen four clean sheets in the process. He averages close to six defensive actions per game and has also provided one assist in La Liga.

Harry Kane ‘very close’ to completing Real Madrid move, only final details remain – report

Jude Bellingham’s move to Real Madrid was finally closed earlier today as officially confirmed by Borussia Dortmund on their website. Yet, the offices at Santiago Bernabeu have not even taken a break to celebrate their success.
According to reports from Alfredo Pedullà, Los Blancos are now completely focused on the acquisition of Harry Kane. The English striker’s arrival is very close to approaching closure and only a few details remain to be sorted.
The Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur representatives reportedly held a meeting today over the striker’s transfer. The agenda was to agree on a number for the transfer fee.
The Premier League side began the proceedings with an expectation of €100 to €110 million in exchange for Kane. However, the Merengues suggested a lower point at €80 to €90 million, albeit with the option to include bonuses.
There is not much separating the two parties at the moment, and the minor gap will be bridged in the coming days. Overall, the meeting ended with a broad understanding between the two clubs.
Carlo Ancelotti sees the English striker as the centre-piece of his attack for next season given the recent departure of Karim Benzema. After all, Kane has been one of football’s most consistent goalscorers over the past decade.
Yet, Los Blancos cannot afford to let their guard down with one signing and will need to rope in at least two more names in attack to serve as backup options. The exits of Mariano Diaz, Marco Asensio, and Eden Hazard leave them with no squad depth, after all.
Kane has scored 30, 17, and 23 goals in his last three seasons in the Premier League and is the epitome of consistency. Further, he had three assists in his most recent league season and created 14 big chances.
