According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, the likes of Victor Osimhen and Dusan Vlahovic were offered to Real Madrid during the summer transfer window, but the Los Blancos management decided not to go ahead with the signings.

Karim Benzema’s departure to Al-Ittihad left a huge void at Real Madrid. With no number 9 at the helm, the goal-scoring prowess came on the young shoulders of Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo, to say the very least.

It’s not that the team from the Spanish capital did not try to sign a replacement. In fact, the team were said to be hunting Kylian Mbappe throughout the window.

But once it was established that the Frenchman would not travel this year, Real Madrid decided to go in with loan signing Joselu as their only natural striker this season.

Countless approaches

As the news of Benzema’s departure reverberated through the footballing world, Real Madrid found themselves besieged by countless representatives wielding offers to sign forwards, such as Romelu Lukaku, among others.

It has been said that the club’s decision-makers fielded inquiries from over ten players’ representatives, but the response remained unwavering: a resounding ‘No.’

Amidst the backdrop of Ancelotti’s pleas, Real Madrid remained resolute in their stance, steadfastly refusing to entertain the idea of acquiring any forward, with a singular exception – Mbappe.

As long as the possibility of bringing the French sensation to the Spanish capital lingered, no other forward was deemed worthy of consideration.

Ultimately, the stars did not align, and Mbappe remained in Paris, leaving Real Madrid with a striking void, bereft of Benzema’s presence.

In the picturesque landscapes of Italy, whispers began to circulate about two particular forwards who had thrown their hats into the ring for a potential move to the Spanish giants during the transfer market’s closing weeks.

MD reveals the names of these hopefuls: Osimhen and Vlahovic. In the corridors of Real Madrid’s decision-making chambers, however, these proposals were met with a ‘no.’

The rationale behind this unyielding stance was the fact that Real Madrid had set their sights on one star, and one star alone: Mbappe.

In the eyes of the Spanish powerhouse, it was an all-or-nothing proposition. The pursuit of Mbappé, with his electrifying talent and worldwide appeal, eclipsed all other considerations.

For them, it was a matter of securing the ultimate marquee signing or maintaining the status quo. The 24-year-old will now again be on the agenda for next year, when he would come for free, provided he does not renew with PSG>

Real Madrid’s attacking unit has been crippled by the loss of Karim Benzema earlier in the summer, which was followed by the loss of Vinicius Jr due to injury.

Although Vinicius has returned, there is much left to be desired from the Madrid frontline as we progress through to the season.

Real Madrid, though, are waiting on the arrival of Endrick. The young Brazilian is set to join the Real Madrid squad in the summer of 2024 when he turns 18.

Real Madrid impressed by Endrick

Endrick has already started his preparation for his pending move to Santiago Bernabeu, having performed exceptionally well in his native Brazil this year.

The youngster is constantly working on his game, in order to further improve himself as an attacker. It has left Real Madrid quite happy and eager for his arrival, reports Fabrizio Romano.

The journalist claims that Real Madrid have been keeping close tabs on everything Endrick has been doing, on and off the pitch, at Palmeiras.

And they have received very good reports on the 17-year-old, with the club impressed by how he is putting efforts to improve himself both performance-wise and in other facets.

Despite there being some question marks over his performances, the teenage forward is starting to showcase his potential, having scored five goals in five starts for Palmeiras.

Endrick also learning new languages

Endrick is not only just working on his performance. In fact, the Brazilian is also learning other languages in order to quickly settle into life in Spain.

The youngster can speak Portuguese, but he may have to master Spanish during his time at Santiago Bernabeu.

As mentioned earlier, Endrick can already speak Portuguese, which should go a long way in helping him team up with fellow Brazilians Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo.

Even Eder Militao can speak Portuguese, which should make it easier for Endrick to adapt to life in Spain, at least for the next year or so.
