Real Madrid set to reject Arsenal’s €100 million offer for Brazilian international – report
The future of Vinicius Jr. is currently the hottest topic in Europe, with Arsenal emerging as a surprise candidate to sign the Real Madrid.
In the wake of his return to the Real Madrid after an extended break, Vinicius is tipped to hold talks with Jose Mourinho, which will likely decide his fate at Santiago Bernabeu.
In the background, Arsenal are desperate to sign the Brazilian international, with Mikel Arteta, in particular, keen on acquiring his services.
Real Madrid likely to reject Arsenal’s first bid
According to Miguel Serrano, Arsenal are expected to table a first bid worth €100 million for Vinicius Jr., an offer that will likely get rejected by Los Blancos.
Even though Vinicius’ contract at Santiago Bernabeu expires at the end of next season, Real Madrid rate him much highly and won’t let him go for cheap.
What Real Madrid won’t do, however, is to make another offer to Vinicius. The club are simply not willing to meet the player’s hefty €30 million a season demand.
Vinicius already has an offer on the table from Real Madrid and if he is not willing to agree to those terms, a summer exit cannot be ruled out, but only for the right price.
Arsenal’s lucrative offer for Vinicius
While Arsenal are willing to offer only €100 million for Vinicius Jr., their personal offer to the player himself is much more lucrative.
Indeed, the Gunners are ready to fork out as much as €25 million in salary, which is much closer to the €30 million the Brazilian international is demanding at Real Madrid.
Not to mention, Arsenal are willing to offer him 100% of his image rights, which will lead to him earn more money in addition to his salary at the Emirates.
Under the existing contract, Real Madrid and Vinicius equally share the player’s image rights, so the Arsenal offer is a definite upgrade.
The Premier League giants aren’t desperate either. They are not in a rush to make an offer and are ready to play the waiting game, knowing Real Madrid will be under pressure to sell the player if he doesn’t renew his contract.
Kylian Mbappe has been named Real Madrid Player of the Month for August after an impressive start to the 2026/27 season.
The French forward was recognised for his performances during the month, featuring in all three of Real Madrid’s matches and scoring four goals.
Mbappe opened his goalscoring account for the season in Real Madrid’s second game of the season against Real Sociedad, plundering a hat-trick in a 4-1 win.
The France captain was on target again in the next game, scoring in a 4-0 win over newly-promoted La Liga side, Malaga.

Mbappe happy with positive start
After receiving the award at the training facilities earlier today, Mbappe spoke to RMTV, talking positively about the team’s start to the campaign and outlined his ambitions for the months ahead.
“We’ve started the season positively. I hope we can continue like this on Saturday. I think there can be a lot of success this season,” he said.
The Real Madrid forward is determined to play his part as the team pursue trophies on multiple fronts.
“I’m really looking forward to helping the team and showing that we can do great things this year. I’m always happy to play here. I know it’s a privilege,” he noted.
Welcoming the new arrivals
Mbappe also discussed the new faces who have joined the squad, stressing the importance of ensuring everyone settles quickly into the team.
After all, Real Madrid have made as many as six new additions in Ibrahima Konate, Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, Carlos Espi, Denzel Dumfries, and Yan Diomande.
“It’s always good to see new faces. They come wanting to help the badge and Real Madrid. We’ve tried to make sure everyone adapts in the best possible way so that we can all move in the same direction,” he stated.
With the squad continuing to improve, Mbappe believes unity will be crucial as Real Madrid aim for a successful season.
