Real Madrid set to sign Endrick in €72 million deal as PSG end pursuit

Though the focus of the footballing world is largely on the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar, some rapid developments are going on at the offices of Santiago Bernabeu. Jude Bellingham, who seemed set to be the club’s marquee signing this summer, is slowly fading out of the transfer plans. Meanwhile, talks on Endrick’s front are progressing swiftly.
Los Blancos were competing with the likes of PSG and Chelsea, who made big attempts to lure the player in recent weeks. However, the situation is said to have turned.
According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, Paris Saint-Germain have left the race for the Brazilian starlet. The French side had offered €58 million to Palmeiras for Endrick after discussing terms with the Brazilian side.
The deal was worth €93 million in total, also including a €35 million fee for their young talent Estevao. However, the Palmeiras president rejected the deal and PSG have left the race since.
This comes as a big boost to Real Madrid, for they are now front runners to win the forward’s signing.
Romano adds that talks between the European Champions and Endrick are in the final stages with the parties also agreeing personal terms. The full package will be worth close to €72 million for the teenage forward sensation alone.
With the contracts and documents all sorted, it seems only a matter of time before Endrick’s capture is made official.
The player had a special love for Real Madrid and prefers to join Carlo Ancelotti’s side over any other side that tried to sign him including Barcelona, Chelsea and PSG. This is what has helped the Spanish champions get the front foot.
Nevertheless, Endrick, 16, cannot make the move to Europe until he turns 18 years of age. With the pre-contract signed, however, his future with Los Blancos will be set in stone.

Real Madrid have made Man City defensive target a top priority for the summer

Although Antonio Rudiger has had success since joining Real Madrid last summer, the club are in need of more depth and players that can form the backbone of the defensive unit in the years to come.
As part of their plans, Real Madrid are prioritising a move for Josko Gvardiol in the coming summer, reports 90 Min.
The outlet suggests Gvardiol will be one of the most wanted prospects in the market, with both Real Madrid and Manchester City eyeing a move for the Croatian international come the end of the season.
Formerly of Dinamo Zagreb, Gvardiol has enjoyed immense success since his move to the Bundesliga in 2021. He has impressed onlookers with his skill, organisation and discipline, which, coupled with his versatility, make him an appealing target for any European giant.
Gvardiol was also one of the top performers at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, helping Croatia finish third in the competition. His performances have not gone unnoticed, with Real Madrid among the clubs who have been keeping an eye on the defender for a while now.
However, signing Gvardiol will be a tricky task for Los Blancos. The player still has a long-term contract at Leipzig and could cost up to €85 million, as reported by 90 Min. Not to mention, the competition from Man City could be significant.
Real Madrid have no shortage of alternatives, though, with the club notably closely monitoring Portuguese defensive whizkid Antonio Silva, among others. So it will be interesting to see how the Spanish giants approach the market in this coming summer.
