Real Madrid booked their spot in the finals of the Spanish Super Cup after securing a brilliant comeback 5-3 win over neighbours Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night.

Now, they will have their eyes fixed on the second semi-final later tonight where Barcelona battle Osasuna for a spot in the main event on Sunday.

Ahead of the match, though, Real Madrid youngster Arda Guler has fired warning shots to both the remaining semi-finalists, stating that it does not matter who makes it, Los Blancos are planning to go all the way.

The 18-year-old Turkish prodigy made just his second appearance of the season yesterday for Real Madrid, coming on for Federico Valverde in the second half of extra time.

While he did not have many minutes on the pitch, Guler insisted that he loved the experience before sending out a warning to Madrid’s potential opponents in the final.

“Today was my first Super Cup match. I came into the game in the last 10 minutes, we are very happy. There is a very nice family and friendship atmosphere here,” Guler said.

“It doesn’t matter who the opponent is in the final. Since we are Real Madrid, we will play to win no matter who comes. I hope we will win the cup,” he added.

It has been a difficult journey so far for Guler in Spain as he spent the first five months of his stint on the treatment tables due to injuries.

“Our coach immediately included me in the squad and played me. He constantly expresses his trust in me. If I continue like this, everything will be better. There is also great support from Turkey. I thank them all, hopefully good days are waiting for us,” he stated.

Real Madrid are confident that Kylian Mbappe will not participate in the Paris Olympic Games, and as a result, they expect him to join their preseason squad in August, according to a striking report from SPORT.

The club has made it clear that they will not make any exceptions for Mbappe, nor will they treat him as a “special case” who can participate in both the Euro Cup and the Olympic Games, which are generally meant for younger athletes.

It is important to highlight that Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, is currently in Paris for a FIFA event. This event will give him the opportunity to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron and discuss the potential transfer of Mbappe.

One of Perez’s main interests is to bring the French star to Real Madrid as soon as possible. Ideally, this would be after the European Championship in Germany, which runs from June 14 to July 14, followed by a short vacation.

This is why Mbappe would be expected to join the team only in August.

No Mbappe is Paris Olympics

Interestingly, this plan would be disrupted if Mbappe were to compete in the Paris Olympic Games.

While participating in the Olympics would be highly appealing to the French capital and could even boost Mbappe’s popularity among his fellow countrymen, Real Madrid sources believe that he will skip the Olympics.

For now, Real Madrid’s confidence that Mbappe will not participate in the Olympics means they are planning for him to join the team for the preseason in August.

Meanwhile, as the situation is still developing, Perez’s trip to Paris for FIFA’s 120th Anniversary appears to be yielding results, paving the way for Mbappe’s anticipated move to Real Madrid.

While everything related to the transfer is on track, the official announcement is pending followed by the presentation.
