Real Madrid’s pursuit of Jude Bellingham has been well-documented throughout this past week, with the Spanish giants reportedly close to agreeing personal terms with the midfielder.

However, as per the latest report from David Ornstein, the transfer is far from done. Real Madrid are still yet to come to an agreement with Borussia Dortmund over the transfer fee. The Bundesliga giants are persisting on their high demands, which is proving to a challenge for Real Madrid.

But perhaps more importantly, Real Madrid are still facing the looming threat of Manchester City. The Premier League giants had been linked with a move for Bellingham for a while now, with Pep Guardiola hoping to reunite him with his former Dortmund mate Erling Haaland.

Bellingham may also serve as the direct replacement for Ilkay Gundogan, who in turn, has been linked with a move to FC Barcelona, among other clubs.

As per Ornstein, though, no details have surfaced regarding Man City’s offer. There are no numbers mentioned, nor news of the English champions offering a higher salary than Real Madrid.

But as previously covered, it is apparent Bellingham wants to join the Spanish giants, as he looks to further his career and become one of the most crucial elements in the Madrid midfield in the years to come.

Real Madrid’s strong sporting project has indeed been one of the main reasons Bellingham is tilting towards a move to Santiago Bernabeu. But the deal is not over yet and Los Blancos must soon reach an agreement with Dortmund if they are to fend off the threat of Man City.

The coming weeks could be crucial as far as Real Madrid’s pursuit of the Englishman is concerned. The player, for now though, will look to focus on winning the Bundesliga title with Dortmund.

The Bundesliga giants are trailing Bayern Munich by just one point, with three matches left to be played.

In a huge development, David Ornstein of The Athletic is reporting that Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement over the transfer of midfield sensation Jude Bellingham.

The 19-year-old prodigy had become one of Los Blancos’ main priorities for the summer transfer window and the club had been working on a deal for him for months now.

And after seeing off competition from the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City, the Merengues managed to reach an agreement with Bellingham over personal terms last month.

Talks with Dortmund were put on hold until the Bundesliga season was over, but things have accelerated in recent times. Earlier this week, reports emerged claiming that positive talks had been held between the two clubs.

And now, Real Madrid have reached a total agreement with Dortmund for Bellingham’s signing. As per the report, the transfer fee for the teenage sensation will exceed €100 million, making it one of the most expensive operations in the history of both clubs.

The deal has not been signed yet, but it is considered only a mere formality at this point. Soon, the England international will undergo his medicals in the coming days as well before completing the transfer to Real Madrid.

Bellingham might not be the only Englishman to end up at the Spanish capital this summer as Los Blancos also have their sights set on a move for his national team captain, Harry Kane.

Indeed, the 29-year-old Tottenham Hotspur superstar is a primary target for Real Madrid as a replacement for Karim Benzema, who completed his transfer to Al Ittihad. The Merengues are understood to be preparing an €80 million offer for him, but it could fall short of Spurs’ valuation.
