Real Madrid to complete signing of teenage starlet soon – Romano

Barcelona dropping out of the race for Manchester United’s young talent JJ Gabriel pushed Real Madrid to a position of real strength, for it was only the Spanish duo who were seen to be the player’s top destinations.

He did indeed have several other offers on the table, but the chance to sign for Real Madrid or Barcelona weighed up as a superior opportunity. For the past few days, it has been all about Los Blancos leading the race.

Yesterday, it was reported that the youngster had made his final decision and that it was to sign for Real Madrid. Now, the ever-reliable Fabrizio Romano confirms that news and brings more to light.

Here we go soon

Indeed, as reported by the Italian journalist, the deal between JJ Gabriel and Real Madrid is set to be finalised soon, and matters are very close to receiving Romano’s ‘Here we go’ tag.

The 16-year-old star’s entourage, in fact, has even begun informing all other clubs that the player has made his decision and that it will be Real Madrid he is joining.

To directly converse with, and thereby forfeit interest from top teams, undoubtedly requires some level of understanding that the deal will certainly go through.

While formal communication heads out to all other top clubs interested, the terms of the young player’s contract with Real Madrid are being sealed and it is only a matter of time before the deal is official.

The key factor

Yesterday, reports brought to light that all top clubs were willing to offer Gabriel the same, or similar, economic terms that Real Madrid are offering. The package, in that sense, had nothing to do with his decision.

Instead, it was actually the project Real Madrid presented to him that won the player over.

Los Blancos reportedly highlighted a detailed plan of how the player would evolve from the academy to the Castilla and then eventually to the first team, and that convinced the player and his entourage that Real Madrid is the right club to take his career forward with.

Needless to say, however, the road to a first-team spot will be long and gruelling, and the player must keep improving and growing at the same rate as he has been for so long.
