Real Madrid waiting for FIFA green light to announce Endrick signing – Romano

Real Madrid have everything agreed to complete the capture of Brazilian wonderkid Endrick but are awaiting the green light from FIFA to officially complete the signing and make an announcement, according to the ever-reliable Fabrizio Romano.
The 16-year-old is regarded as the next best thing coming out of Brazil after his explosion at the Copinha tournament earlier this year. Soon after he signed his first professional contract with Palmeiras in July, Endrick made his senior debut for the Brazilian outfit and made a big impression as well.
Despite his young age, the striker scored three goals and set up one more in seven matches for the first team. His rapid rise alerted several top clubs across Europe. Chelsea and PSG made serious attempts to sign Endrick, but in the end it is Real Madrid who have prevailed in the race.
Earlier reports indicated that Los Blancos would be shelling out a sum in excess of €70 million for Endrick’s signing, which included tax commissions.
But recently it has been reported that Real Madrid will be shelling out €35 million in fixed fees and another €25 million in add-ons for the 16-year-old, who will be signing a three-year contract with an additional three-year extension option.
Everything has been agreed upon between Real Madrid, Palmeiras, and Endrick but an official announcement has yet to arrive.
And Romano is reporting that the hold-up is due to FIFA, who are yet to approve the transfer and sign some documents. However, there are no hitches expected and the journalist claims that an announcement could be made close to Christmas.
While Endrick’s signing will be confirmed soon, the teenage wonderkid will only arrive at Real Madrid in 2024 once he is 18 years old.

Real Madrid defender doubt for El Clasico, injury not serious though

Real Madrid fans were dealt with a massive blow when star player Antonio Rudiger was left out of the squad against Real Valladolid, allegedly due to knee discomfort.
The injury sparked fears over his absence in the upcoming Copa Del Rey semifinal against Barcelona.
However, according to a report from Sergio Quirante, Rudiger’s knee injury is not thought to be serious. It appears the decision to leave him out of the squad against Valladolid may only be a precaution, with the defender set to undergo ultrasonic tests tomorrow.
Rudiger, whose injury scare came just 48 hours before Real Madrid’s big game against Barcelona, has been a stellar success in the club’s backline this season.
The German international has emerged as a real leader at the back, using his experience and authority to good effect. Although Real Madrid’s defence has left a lot to be desired this season, Rudiger has been one of the bright sparks.
His potential absence, therefore, could serve as a major blow for Los Blancos, in their hopes to reach the Copa Del Rey semifinal next week.
Real Madrid are heading into this semifinal with a 1-0 defeat in the first leg, meaning keeping a clean sheet could be mandatory if they are to overturn the deficit and book a place in the final. Rudiger, in that regard, could prove to be a vital asset.
In the meantime, Real Madrid are heading into the Valladolid game with David Alaba and Eder Militao as two of the only reliable centre-backs in the team. Among the two, Alaba has struggled with injuries this season, so it will be interesting to see how Carlo Ancelotti deals with this tricky situation this afternoon.
