Real Madrid will not demand a ‘single euro’ for midfielder’s departure
Real Madrid are looking to accelerate on sales at this point in the summer transfer window, for balancing out the arrivals with necessary departures is key before they progress in their objective of revamping the midfield.
Dani Ceballos, on that front, is seen as a top candidate to leave the club given his lack of prominence in recent seasons under various managers.
Matters have not gone to plan for the Spanish midfielder since his latest renewal with Real Madrid.
He rejected a departure from the club at the last moment last summer, hoping for prominence under Xabi Alonso, but he has now resigned to his fate and is open to a departure.
A sale with no compensation
Earlier this week, it was said that discussions between Real Madrid and Ceballos over a departure were at a standstill as the club did not want to allow the player to leave with no monetary compensation.
Now, however, Fabrizio Romano clarifies that Real Madrid are not looking for any profit or compensation from the Spanish midfielder’s transfer.
In fact, they will not demand a single euro from his sale and are open to his departure on a free transfer.
At this point, the club are fed up with Ceballos’ situation and just want him to leave at any cost. After all, his salary being taken off the roster will be a big enough compensation for them on an economic level.
Negotiations will speed up
The most likely outcome of the current situation is that Real Madrid will terminate Ceballos’ contract on a mutual agreement, allowing him to leave as a free agent and link up with any team he sees an opportunity at.
Given that the club have now resigned to the fact that they will not gain anything from his departure, the formalities of his termination should not take too long.
The constant theme for Real Madrid throughout the summer so far has been one of urgency, and there is no reason why departures will be treated any differently from arrivals.
For his part, Ceballos is likely to join his boyhood club, Real Betis, with whom he has been trying to link up for several years now.
The dream may finally come true this summer, and all that remains is an agreement between him and Real Madrid over his exit.
In what will come as a pleasing development for fans, Fabrizio Romano reports that Real Madrid forward Rodrygo could make a comeback from his injury earlier than expected.
The 25-year-old Brazilian international has been out of action since March after suffering an ACL injury during a La Liga game against Getafe.
Due to the complete rupture of the ACL, coupled with associated meniscus damage, it was suggested that the attacker was staring at a lengthy time out on the sidelines and might not return until 2027.
In fact, the forward’s father, Eric Goes, recently stated in an interview that the Real Madrid ace could be back in February next year, just before the business end of the campaign.
Rodrygo could be back in December
However, as per the update from Romano, Rodrygo’s comeback could happen well before that expected date.
Indeed, if things continue to progress at the current rate, the 25-year-old attacker might return to action in December or by January 2027 at the latest.
This will come as a welcome boost for Jose Mourinho & co., considering that Rodrygo is a valuable player for the team.
Even though he had endured a tough spell prior to his form, the Brazilian’s versatility, work rate off the ball, and eye for a goal make him an asset.
Rodrygo eager to be back at his best
The update from Romano further states that Rodrygo feels very grateful to Real Madrid for all the help and support they have given him during this difficult phase of his career.
As such, the Brazilian international has made it a mission to return to action in the best shape possible and make an impact from the get-go.
The attacker has only recently begun working on the pitch with the ball indicating the significant progress he has made on the road to recovery.
And, if there are no setbacks, Real Madrid could recover one of their ace attackers before the end of the current year.
So far in his career, Rodrygo has made 297 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 71 goals. He has a contract with the club until 2028.
