Real Madrid will not sign a new right-back in the summer – report

Real Madrid are set to lock horns with Valencia later tonight, in what could be a crucial encounter as the reigning Spanish champions look to keep up with league leaders Barcelona in the title race.
Heading into this contest, however, there has much noise about the club’s lack of depth, especially in the full-back department.
The injury woes of Dani Carvajal, Lucas Vazquez, David Alaba and Ferland Mendy have indeed left Real Madrid exposed and coach Carlo Ancelotti devoid of reliable options in the wider defensive positions.
Although Carvajal will be available for this match, there has been pressure on the Real Madrid board to sign a proper alternative for the ageing Spaniard in the coming summer.
But according to a report from MARCA’s Jose Felix Diaz via RM4Arab the Merengues will not sign a new right-back during the summer transfer window.
It appears the club still have enough trust in Carvajal as well as Vazquez, as far as the future of the right-back position is concerned.
As such, they are not expected to make any move for a new right-back at the end of the season. The Whites, though, are set to sign left-back Fran Garcia, who is expected to join the club next season.
Regarding the right-back position, Real Madrid were notably linked with a move for Pedro Porro. But the Spaniard ended up joining Chelsea in the recently-concluded January transfer window.
There should be no shortage of alternatives in the market this coming summer. But as Real Madrid continue to prioritise the pursuit of top targets such as Jude Bellingham, it will be difficult for the club to find provision for other problem areas, including the right-back position.

Turkish giants to go all-out to sign Real Madrid outcast – report

There is no way back for Eden Hazard at Real Madrid. The Belgian international has not given the management any reason to have faith in his abilities over his past four seasons at the club and is unsurprisingly the most important departure for the Merengues in the summer.
Hazard has one more year on his contract in Madrid. However, it is clear that Carlo Ancelotti does not trust him and that any potential replacement manager in the summer will echo his stance.
According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, Fenerbahce are willing to go all out to sign Hazard this summer. The Turkish side have made the former Chelsea their prime target, yet face a steep task ahead of them.
The 32-year-old is hellbent on seeing out his contract with Los Blancos despite seeing his career sink right before his eyes. It thus becomes complicated for the party to lure away the forward, especially in a competition outside Europe’s top five leagues.
Fenerbahce attempted to sign the winger in the recently concluded winter transfer market. They reached an agreement with Real Madrid but failed to get over the line as they could not convince the player of the move.
The biggest obstacle for the Turkish side will be convincing Hazard to make the move by letting go of his lucrative contract in Madrid. The chances are slim, but not impossible.
Hazard has made just three league appearances and one start for Ancelotti’s side this season in La Liga, a steep fall from last season’s 18 and seven respectively.
His last appearance for the team came back in January when Real Madrid faced Cacereno in the Copa del Rey. In La Liga however, he last played in September 2022 in a 4-1 win over Mallorca.
