Real Madrid will try to resolve the future of exit-linked trio this week – report

Three players in Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid squad appear closer to leaving in June than staying at the club. All three individuals will be out of contract in just over a month and have renewal proposals on the table, yet are hesitant to commit their future to the Santiago Bernabeu.
The players in question are Dani Ceballos, Marco Asensio, and Nacho Fernandez. According to MARCA, Real Madrid hope to try and resolve the future of all three players over the next week. The coming days and discussions could make or break their renewals.
Of the three, Ceballos and Asensio appear farthest away from Real Madrid.
Ceballos understands that he will be less prominent next season, with Jude Bellingham set to arrive and thus wishes to move to fresher pastures where he is assured a starting role.
As for Asensio, his situation only took a pessimistic turn recently. The winger was expected to agree terms with Real Madrid and pen a new deal even as recently as last week.
However, the arrival of options on his table has widened his perspective. Asensio has offers from several top clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain that guarantee him a starting place and Champions League football, leading to him choosing an exit.
The position of Nacho Fernandez is not very dissimilar. The defender has never failed to show the love and respect he carries for the Merengues’ crest and has always maintained that he is happy at the club. The lack of playing time, however, concerns him and continues to push him away from the Spanish capital.
Over the next few days, the Real Madrid administration will likely seek a final round of talks with the trio and hope to reach a resolution on their future, one way or the other. As far as Asensio and Ceballos are concerned, their exits seem certain. With Nacho, it remains to be seen how things develop.

Real Madrid defender taken off with an injury against Las Palmas

There just does not appear to be any respite from injuries for Real Madrid.
Just when it appeared that they were close to having their full squad – barring the two long-term absentees – the Merengues have been struck down by fresh injuries this week.
Arda Guler, who was on the cusp of being named in the squad for the Las Palmas clash, injured himself in training on Tuesday.
And now, during the game against Las Palmas at the Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid have lost key defender David Alaba to an injury.
Close to the 40th-minute mark, Alaba went down on the ground clutching his leg and appeared to be in quite a bit of discomfort.
Soon enough, the medical staff arrived to take a look at the Austrian and seconds later he was off the pitch and straight towards the tunnel.
Lucas Vazquez came on to replace the injured Alaba, with Nacho Fernandez moving into the centre-back position alongside Antonio Rudiger.
Alaba’s injury leaves Carlo Ancelotti with just two fit centre-backs in Rudiger and Nacho, which is set to be a matter of great concern.
The hope will be that Alaba’s condition is nothing serious and that he is able to mount a quick recovery.
