Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano has shared that Real Madrid forward Rodrygo has no plans to leave the team this summer, even with Kylian Mbappe joining the club.

Rodrygo is extremely happy at Real Madrid, and there are no anticipated changes regarding his status.

People close to the player have confirmed that he intends to stay with the team and this commitment was evident when he signed a new contract until 2028, which includes a €1 billion release clause.

Rodrygo’s future is in jeopardy?

Recently, Rodrygo’s future has been questioned due to Mbappe’s arrival from Paris Saint-Germain.

There has been speculation that the Brazilian might lose his spot on the team or even be sold by Real Madrid. However, this is not true, as he is clearly dedicated to the club.

“I always say the same thing. I want to play with the best, and if Mbappe comes, I’m going to love playing with him. It’s not a problem for me, the problem is for the coach (laughs),” he said about Mbappe’s arrival.

On the other hand, though, if he were to leave, he would not be short of options, as many top clubs, including Liverpool, are interested in him. Despite this, Real Madrid have no intention of letting the Brazilian forward go.

In a recent interview, Rodrygo was careful with his words about his future, as he did not care much to shed light on the same. When asked if he would stay at Madrid, he said

“Yes, well, you never know, I have a contract, but the years I have been here have been a pleasure for me. I always want to stay, but we’ll see.”

His representatives, however, were quick to address the rumours about his potential departure. They denied that Rodrygo is considering leaving and clarified that he may have misspoken in the interview.

His representatives emphasised that he is fully committed to staying at Real Madrid and aims to continue achieving great things with the team.

Up until now, Rodrygo’s main competition has been Brahim Diaz, but he has always been a trusted player for coach Carlo Ancelotti.

But with Mbappe and the young talent Endrick joining the team, there are concerns that Rodrygo might struggle for playing time. If he does not get enough minutes on the pitch, he could consider leaving in search of more opportunities.

At this moment, Rodrygo is determined to stay and prove himself at Real Madrid. His recent contract extension shows his dedication to the club and his desire to be a key part of its future success.

While the competition for places may increase, Rodrygo’s commitment and talent suggest that he will continue to be an important player for Real Madrid in the years to come.

Real Madrid are set to welcome two new stars this summer, Kylian Mbappe and Endrick, but the Merengues are keen on further bolstering their squad.

Owing to the embarrassment of riches Real Madrid possess in midfield, replacing Toni Kroos with a new signing in midfield is not seen as an immediate priority.

Nonetheless, interesting opportunities will invariably be evaluated closely and it appears the name of Adrien Rabiot has entered the club’s crosshairs.

Real Madrid not the only ones interested

But, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Real Madrid face stiff competition from Premier League clubs and Saudi Arabian teams in their pursuit of midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The French midfielder is set to become a free agent if he chooses not to renew his contract with Juventus, a decision that seems increasingly likely.

Known for his technical prowess and versatility, Rabiot excels at playing multiple roles in midfield and notably thriving as a goal threat with late runs inside the opposition box that tend to catch opponents off guard.

While Real Madrid have no shortage of quality in midfield, Dani Ceballos’ exit could pave the way for the 29-year-old to secure a signing for Los Blancos.

However, Real Madrid would have to outmanoeuvre both the financial prowess of Saudi Arabian teams and the competitive allure of Premier League clubs to secure Rabiot’s signature.

On top of that, Juventus are also not giving up on their efforts to try and renew the contract of the French international.

In any case, Rabiot is unlikely to be a priority target for the club but they will be sure to keep a close eye on how his situation develops.
