Real Madrid’s La Fabrica has done an exceedingly brilliant job of competing with Barcelona’s La Masia of late, which has continued to produce some of the best young talent in world football.

Fran Garcia is the latest entry into the senior team after the club bought him back from Rayo Vallecano in the summer. The Spaniard has four assists in the league this season already in eight games (13 total starts).

Nico Paz has found his way into the squad as well as a rotational piece, and even scored his first goal for the club with a wonderful strike against Napoli.

Elsewhere, Madrid’s very own Borja Mayoral has done a tremendous job with Getafe this season, and is the second-highest scorer in the league behind Jude Bellingham with 12 goals.

Getafe want to replicate the success they have had with Mayoral this season, and are targeting a move for another one of Madrid Castilla’s gems, Youssef Enriquez, aka Yusi, as per a report by Jorge C Picon.

The Miguel Gutierrez/Fran Garcia formula

Real Madrid have shielded Yusi with a renewal that will last until 2028, but Getafe want to leapfrog everyone. They consider him one of the best young talents, and want to bring him on board by 2024.

They want to follow Girona and Rayo Vallecano’s method when they signed Miguel Gutierrez and Fran Garcia, respectively. Both teams paid for a percentage of the player’s rights, with Madrid having the option to bring them back.

And while Garcia was brought back by Madrid this season, Gutierrez still plies his trade with Girona, and has a goal and an assist to his name in 17 appearances.

Yusi has even played for Getafe previously, before eventually signing for Real Madrid. That can act as a bargaining chip as they will eventually look to agree personal terms with him.

Speaking in an interview with Sport BILD (h/t AS), Germany legend Michael Ballack has claimed that Bayer Leverkusen sensation Florian Wirtz is ready to play for Real Madrid.

Wirtz is a player that Real Madrid have been closely monitoring for a while now, with the German sensation being seen as a long-term replacement for Toni Kroos, who announced his retirement yesterday.

A move for Wirtz is being planned for the summer of 2025 and Ballack believes that the Bundesliga title winner with Leverkusen is ready for the big move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

“Wirtz is ready for Real Madrid,” said Ballack.

“In terms of football, Wirtz can definitely play for Real Madrid. You can also see it in Jude Bellingham after his move from BVB: when you play with even better players, you become even better,” he added.

Wirtz has a contract with Bayer Leverkusen that runs until the summer of 2027. As things stand, the new German champions have no intentions of selling their prized asset this year.

However, there appears to be an acceptance that the German international will be on the move in 2025.

Other top clubs like Manchester City and Bayern Munich are also understood to be interested, but Real Madrid are likely to beat them in the race should it come down to that next year.

A move for Wirtz, though, could cost in excess of €100 million for Real Madrid should they do indeed decide to proceed with his signing next year.
