Real Madrid’s new signing leaving ‘unbelievable sensations’ in training – report

According to reports from MARCA, Arda Guler has left the Real Madrid management astounded with his quality. The sensations he is leaving during training sessions are said to be unbelievable.
He is reportedly not a big presence in the dressing room owing to his shy nature. After all, it has to be daunting walking into the Real Madrid dressing room at such a tender age. Yet, his nature in the dressing room does not stop him from transforming into a beast on the field.
The club are cautious regarding Guler because he is only 18 years of age. However, it is difficult to overlook the fact that his level of training is at par with the very best.
While it is normal in football to massively overhype young talents in a bid to improve their market value, the case of Guler appears different.
The youngster is living up to the hype generated around his name and it is close to unbelievable that Real Madrid signed him for €20 million plus add-ons.
If Guler can maintain his high level through pre-season and make his mark in the opportunities on the USA tour, he can be assured of a major role in the first-team setup this season. The pressure will be on Carlo Ancelotti to find him a tailor-made role.
One would expect the Turkish star to slot into the hole behind the two attackers as the playmaking midfielder, although he is being used as a right-winger in pre-season training aas well.
With Jude Bellingham making a strong case to play in the same position, however, it remains to be seen how the Merengues line up come August.
In 20 Super Lig appearances for Fenerbahce last season, the teenage sensation scored four goals and provided three assists. Needless to say, he will look to replicate his success in La Liga this season.

Real Madrid retain total confidence in Carlo Ancelotti despite derby disaster – report

Sunday night was a disappointing one for Real Madrid as they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat to arch-rivals Atletico Madrid in the Madrid derby at the Civitas Metropolitano.
The Merengues suffered their first defeat of the 2023/24 season as former striker Alvaro Morata scored a brace for the Rojiblancos while Antoine Griezmann was also on target.
Real Madrid might be feeling aggrieved by some of the calls made by the referee on the night but they were just not good enough to secure all three points at the Metropolitano.
Real Madrid retain full confidence in Ancelotti
Despite the disappointing performance and outcome, Real Madrid retain their full and total confidence in manager Carlo Ancelotti, reports Jose Felix Diaz (via RM4Arab).
There had been question marks about the team selection made by the manager for the derby against Atletico Madrid.
After all, the Italian opted to bench Joselu from the starting XI to bring in Luka Modric and shift the tactics.
Aurelien Tchouameni was also left out despite being one of the team’s strongest performers this season with Toni Kroos being preferred.
The Real Madrid hierarchy wishes for the manager to trust the next-gen midfield for the big games but Ancelotti’s selection indicated that he is still not ready to do so.
Despite there being some differences, the board retains full confidence in Ancelotti.
Ancelotti accepts blame for defeat
It was a disappointing performance from Real Madrid in their biggest test of the 2023/24 season so far and speaking after the match, manager Ancelotti accepted the blame for the outcome.
“Maybe I could have done it better. It’s pretty clear. When the team doesn’t do what it has to do, it’s my responsibility. It’s my fault,” Ancelotti said.
With the game done and dusted, Real Madrid now turn their focus towards producing a strong comeback when they face Las Palmas later this week.
