Real Madrid’s operation to sign Kylian Mbappe could cost €230-250 million – report

According to the latest report from Carlos Carpio of MARCA, PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe wants to join Real Madrid immediately. The operation is expected to cost Los Blancos between €230 million to €250 million.
There have been multiple points in the ongoing transfer window where the Frenchman’s move to Spain appeared imminent. However, in no instance did the deal make any tangible process.
A tale of two parties
Nasser Al-Khelaifi gave Mbappe a deadline to make a binding decision on his future. The youngster was supposed to revert to the Ligue 1 champions with his conformed position by July 19th.
His decision to maintain silence beyond the prescribed date did not go down well in Paris, and Mbappe was subsequently dropped from the squad travelling to Asia for pre-season.
PSG are willing to throw the kitchen sink to facilitate his sale this summer. They are demanding an exorbitant amount worth close to €250 million for his transfer but unfortunately do not have much leverage over his future.
Real Madrid’s efforts to reduce the price tag

While PSG demand well in excess of €200 million for their star forward, it is clear that Real Madrid will do everything possible to bring that number down.
Only one year remains on Mbappe’s deal with the French outfit, and Florentino Perez will look to use the same as his trump card.
If the French club do not concede, Real Madrid can opt to wait another season and snap up his services next summer for free. The pressure, thus, is on the French champions now.
Immediate incorporation
If Real Madrid’s recent defeat in El Clasico is anything to go by, it is clear that the team needs a quality centre-forward.
While Mbappe is not exactly a traditional number nine, he brings effective finishing to the table and Los Blancos thus hope to rope him in before the season begins.
With Mbappe also keen to secure a move right away, things could get moving soon, but the entire operation could cost around €230-250 million.
The management hope to finalise his transfer by the second week of August, and one can thus hope for rapid developments from here on.

French midfielder admits considering PSG move before Real Madrid called him

Aurelien Tchouameni has had an exciting start to his career at Real Madrid. Since joining the club for almost €80 million last summer, the young Frenchman has now become a pivotal figure in Real Madrid’s midfield unit.
However, prior to his move to Santiago Bernabeu, the midfielder was closely linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
In a recent interview, Tchouameni opened up on his links to PSG but revealed his decision to join Real Madrid.
Aurelien Tchouameni on PSG links
Talking about speculations linking him to PSG, Tchouameni said (h/t Madrid Zone), “PSG? Frankly, I thought about it. It’s a very big European club, we want the French clubs to succeed.”
“But honestly, when Real Madrid calls you, it’s very complicated to say no,” Tchouameni added.

The midfielder was linked with a move to PSG during his time at AS Monaco. Les Parisiens wanted to sign the youngster as part of their plans to reinforce the midfield unit.
Tchouameni, though, ended up opting for a move to Real Madrid, which turned out to be a prudent decision from the midfielder’s end.
Tchouameni’s career at Real Madrid
Aurelien Tchouameni made a total of 50 competitive appearances during his maiden season at Real Madrid.
Although the Frenchman was not entirely a first-team regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, his stature in the team is expected to grow in the coming years.
Especially as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric move on at the end of the season, there is scope for Tchouameni to become a first-team regular in the Real Madrid midfield in the years to come.
The former AS Monaco starlet has already played a crucial role in the starting eleven so far this season and it is only going to continue as the season progresses.
