Real Sociedad manager lauds Real Madrid hero ahead of La Liga clash: “He is a great player”

Real Madrid’s first game after the international break sees them play host to Real Sociedad in what will be a gruelling clash for the men in white.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men have secured 12 of a possible 12 points so far this season, but it is safe to say that most wins have been scrappy at best. The Basque side, meanwhile, have six points from as many games.
La Real manager Imanol Alguacil spoke to the media before his team’s clash against Real Madrid where he touched upon the form and importance of certain specific stars in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup.
First, however, he began with a modest reply when asked about his great record against Real Madrid in recent times. After all, he has four wins and three draws in his last 11 games against Los Blancos.
“It’s no use, it’s in the past, the important thing is what happens this Sunday, it will be a different game,” Alguacil stated.
The manager was then quizzed on what he expected from the league leaders on Sunday night. Stressing on the opposition’s quality despite undergoing changes, he said:
“With the squad they have, the coach they have and the Bernabeu, it’s very obvious. They’ve changed players, the formation and the stadium.
“But the essence of Madrid is the same as always, they’re still one of the teams with the most quality and talent, and that’s why they’ve taken 12 out of 12 [points].”

Speaking on the reduced roles of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric this season, Alguacil emphasised the squad depth Los Blancos had on their roster.
“The image of the team does change, obviously. They have alternatives, there are many games that have started with those people, but then they have used the usual ones, Modric, Kroos.”
“They have different alternatives, surely with young people they have a little more physical strength, they still have quality, although those players still do not have the know-how of a Modric or a Kroos,” he added.
Finally, the media asked the Real Sociedad to address Jude Bellingham’s impeccable form since joining Real Madrid.
“Those who are good, don’t usually need a lot of adaptation, even when changing league or country. He has talent and quality, he is a great player, he is demonstrating it, and he is in a great team,” he said in praise of the signing of the summer.

French midfielder admits considering PSG move before Real Madrid called him

Aurelien Tchouameni has had an exciting start to his career at Real Madrid. Since joining the club for almost €80 million last summer, the young Frenchman has now become a pivotal figure in Real Madrid’s midfield unit.
However, prior to his move to Santiago Bernabeu, the midfielder was closely linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
In a recent interview, Tchouameni opened up on his links to PSG but revealed his decision to join Real Madrid.
Aurelien Tchouameni on PSG links
Talking about speculations linking him to PSG, Tchouameni said (h/t Madrid Zone), “PSG? Frankly, I thought about it. It’s a very big European club, we want the French clubs to succeed.”
“But honestly, when Real Madrid calls you, it’s very complicated to say no,” Tchouameni added.

The midfielder was linked with a move to PSG during his time at AS Monaco. Les Parisiens wanted to sign the youngster as part of their plans to reinforce the midfield unit.
Tchouameni, though, ended up opting for a move to Real Madrid, which turned out to be a prudent decision from the midfielder’s end.
Tchouameni’s career at Real Madrid
Aurelien Tchouameni made a total of 50 competitive appearances during his maiden season at Real Madrid.
Although the Frenchman was not entirely a first-team regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, his stature in the team is expected to grow in the coming years.
Especially as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric move on at the end of the season, there is scope for Tchouameni to become a first-team regular in the Real Madrid midfield in the years to come.
The former AS Monaco starlet has already played a crucial role in the starting eleven so far this season and it is only going to continue as the season progresses.
