Reliable journalist reveals Liverpool star could become Real Madrid’s next transfer target
Real Madrid could keep Alexis Mac Allister on their transfer radar beyond the current window, with the Liverpool midfielder emerging as a name to watch for the Spanish giants in the future.
Mario Cortegana reports on Ruben Martin’s YouTube channel that Mac Allister is expected to remain a topic of interest for Real Madrid, despite there being no prospect of a move this summer.
The Argentine has previously been linked with Los Blancos, and while those reports never developed into formal negotiations, his profile continues to appeal to the club.
Mac Allister is under contract at Liverpool until 2028, giving the Premier League club a strong position.
Furthermore, the midfielder is also not currently looking for an exit, with his father making his preference clear.
“Alexis isn’t thinking about leaving Liverpool. He wants to stay at the club.
“Liverpool have not yet begun contract renewal talks with Alexis, but the player’s wish is to remain at the club.”
For now, that makes a transfer difficult to imagine, but Real Madrid’s interest may be more about timing than an immediate approach.
Mac Allister remains on Real Madrid’s radar
Mac Allister was previously mentioned among several midfield options considered by Real Madrid during the transfer market.
Nothing concrete followed. There were no formal negotiations with Liverpool and the current window will pass without the Argentina international changing clubs.
However, that does not necessarily mean Madrid have closed the file.
The 27-year-old possesses several qualities that could make him attractive to Real Madrid in the longer term, particularly his technical ability, composure in possession and experience at the highest level.
Liverpool contract could become important
The next major development to watch is likely to come from Liverpool rather than Madrid.
Mac Allister still has two years remaining on his current contract, but his father has confirmed that renewal discussions have not yet begun.
For now, the player is open to staying, and that desire gives Liverpool a clear starting point if they eventually decide to extend his agreement.

It was a tense game for Los Blancos, who had to hold on to their slender advantage in the last stretch of the game and were unable to score more goals after an early flurry that saw them gain a 2-0 advantage.
A worrying trend in front of goal
According to MARCA, Real Madrid lead all of Europe in big chances created with 27, but they also top a far less flattering chart, having squandered 19 of them.
That means Real Madrid are missing seven out of every ten clear opportunities they generate, the worst conversion rate on the continent.
Barcelona follow closely with the same number of chances created but a superior return, having wasted 15.
The issue has become a recurring theme in recent matches. Against Betis, Real Madrid dominated and accumulated three expected goals, including a penalty missed by Kylian Mbappe, yet still contrived to lose.
Against Inter, they again peppered the goal without the necessary precision to kill the game off.
Courtois to the rescue
The victory over Inter owed much to a superb performance from Thibaut Courtois, who produced several crucial saves to preserve the three points.
The two Real Madrid goals bore Mourinho’s trademark, both stemming from high pressing. Mbappe forced an error before finishing off Brahim Diaz’s assist, while Federico Valverde capitalised on hesitation from goalkeeper Josep Martinez.
However, having eased into a 2-0 lead, Real Madrid again passed up chance after chance, allowing Inter back into the contest through Lautaro Martinez’s late goal.
It must be noted Real Madrid had 35.6% possession against Inter ranking among the lowest recorded for the club in the Champions League.
For Mourinho, the ideal is clear: winning by finishing off the chances his side create. If Real Madrid can start converting at a rate befitting their creativity, they will become an even more fearsome proposition.
