Real Madrid attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz is attracting interest from Arsenal, with a report from SPORT affirming that the Gunners are willing to offer €70 million for the winger.

It is to be noted that Brahim has decided to play for Morocco instead of Spain, a decision some Real Madrid supporters, while not overly invested in, express a sense of disappointment as they had hoped to witness him don the Spanish jersey rather than the Moroccan one.

Arsenal eyeing Brahim

And now, there is talk that Arsenal might want to buy him for a big amount—€70 million.

It must be remembered that Brahim has a contract with Real Madrid until 2027 and unless he says he wants to leave, the club won’t do anything about it.

For what it is worth, the 24-year-old has insisted he is very happy at Real Madrid, most recently having won the club’s Player of the Month award for February.

An exit can’t be ruled out

At Real Madrid, they wouldn’t like it if Brahim wanted to leave the team. But right now, it can be argued that at Arsenal, he would have a better chance to play regularly.

At Real Madrid, Brahim is often a substitute. And now with Kylian Mbappe and Endrick set to join, the competition will only get tougher as there are already lots of good attackers like Vinicius, Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham too.

On top of it, the club really wants Arda Guler to play more and if Brahim leaves, it would give Guler more chances to show his talent.

But for now, the Moroccan plans to stay at Real Madrid because he says he is happy here unless he doesn’t get enough chances to play.

As we move closer to the end of the 2023/24 campaign, European nations have already kickstarted the preparation for the upcoming Euro 2024.

Hosts Germany had already released its final squad earlier in the day, featuring two Real Madrid stars Toni Kroos and Antonio Rudiger.

Now, France have released their final squad for Euro 2024, featuring no less than three Real Madrid players.

Who are these players?

The most obvious picks for Didier Deschamps, as far as the French team is concerned, were Real Madrid’s star midfield duo of Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga.

Both have enjoyed a formidable campaign under Carlo Ancelotti this season, showcasing excellent synergy and versatility.

One would expect at least one of these stars to play a crucial role in the French midfield, which does have other options including N’Golo Kante, Adrien Rabiot, Warren Zaire-Emery and Youssouf Fofana.

While Tchouameni and Camavinga were guaranteed inclusions, one of Deschamps’ more unpredictable picks was another Real Madrid player in the form of Ferland Mendy.

The marauding left-back has earned a place in the team in light of his performances at Real Madrid during the second half of the campaign.

Mendy has indeed been a useful component in the Real Madrid backline this season and he will compete with Lucas Hernandez for a place in France’s left-back position in Euro 2024.

Real Madrid, who are on the hunt for a new left-back this summer, will be aware that Mendy’s performances in Euro 2024 could skyrocket his valuation, thus enabling them to sell the player at a higher fee.

Some key omissions made by Deschamps, though, include Benoit Badiashile and Axel Disasi while Chelsea duo Malo Gusto and Christopher Nkunku have also missed out.
