The mystery surrounding Florentino Perez’s promised blockbuster signing may finally have an answer.
According to a report from The Telegraph, Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise is the player Florentino Perez is preparing to target with a sensational €150 million offer if he secures victory in the club’s presidential election.
The Real Madrid president recently generated huge excitement when he revealed that a record-breaking transfer proposal was ready to be submitted shortly after the election.
While he deliberately avoided naming the player, clues provided during his media appearance immediately sparked widespread speculation.
Now, fresh information suggests the Bayern Munich star is the man at the centre of Madrid’s ambitious plan.
Olise identified as Real Madrid’s €150m target
During his recent public appearance, Perez stated that the player in question was not competing in the Premier League, represented a Champions League club and possessed the level of quality expected from a modern Galactico signing.
Although he attempted to distance himself from Olise’s name during discussions, the aforementioned outlet claims the France international is indeed the primary objective.
The report states that Real Madrid are prepared to move quickly if Perez is re-elected, with plans already in place to submit a massive offer shortly after the vote.
It must be noted that Real Madrid have also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Joao Neves, but it is Olise who sits at the top of Perez’s transfer wishlist.
Mourinho’s influence would be crucial
One factor that appears to be driving the interest is the strong admiration Jose Mourinho has for the Bayern winger.
The report outlines that Mourinho, whose appointment as Real Madrid manager is expected to be formally confirmed if Perez wins the election, has made it clear that he wants Olise as part of his project.
Despite all that, however, completing the deal will be far from straightforward because Bayern Munich are expected to resist any attempt to sign the French international.
Olise remains under contract until 2029 and is regarded as one of the club’s most valuable assets.
Real Madrid’s performance against Real Betis was shambolic, to say the least as the team faced many of the problems that have haunted them over the past couple of years.
But on a night where most of the attackers struggled to create anything of note, Dean Huijsen emerged as a lone bright spark for Los Blancos.
Huijsen keeps his promise
As reported by MARCA, Huijsen was the standout performer for Real Madrid, marshalling the backline with real authority even as the team struggled around him.
There has been a noticeable shift in the young defender’s mentality this season, with the player showing more competitive nature and looking much fiercer.
This is an attitude Huijsen had always promised, having inherited the iconic number four shift from David Alaba, a number he associates with his idols Sergio Ramos and Fernando Hierro.

His primary task was neutralising Juan ‘Cucho’ Hernandez, and he did so superbly, drying up the Colombian’s supply and repeatedly anticipating danger.
He also held his own in a niggly battle with Antony, refusing to be ruffled by one of Betis’ most inspired performers.
His composure on the ball, one of the qualities that has elevated him, saw him venture forward, forcing a fine save from the goalkeeper in the 11th minute and later heading against the woodwork.
The Konate partnership grows
Alongside him, Ibrahima Konate did his job, albeit without matching his partner’s brilliance.
The Frenchman was a little less assured, both in and out of possession, reflecting the two speeds of the centre-back pairing.
Huijsen looks settled and increasingly commanding, while Konate is still building the sharpness needed to reach his best in white.
Nonetheless, the partnership is heading in the right direction, and in Huijsen, Real Madrid appear to have unearthed a genuine leader for an area that has long been a weakness.
Each performance is also an argument to Luis de la Fuente, as the defender looks to reclaim the Spain spot he lost before the World Cup.
