AS has speculated that new signing Kylian Mbappe is expected to start training with Real Madrid on August 8th, after the team returns from their tour in the USA.

However, nothing is set in stone, and there is a slight possibility that Mbappe might cut his vacation short and join the team earlier.

Mbappe is scheduled to be officially presented as a Real Madrid player on July 16, but he will not begin training with the team until August.

Currently, he is enjoying his vacation and he has a few days to relax before Tuesday, when he will briefly interrupt his break for the official presentation.

All eyes will be on Valdebebas, where Real Madrid’s president Florentino Perez will welcome him at the Sports City. There, they will finalize the contracts and have their first official handshake captured by photographers.

Everything is in place for Mbappe’s arrival

Before the big presentation, Mbappe will undergo a medical examination, with special attention given to his nose. The club’s doctors will evaluate whether he needs surgery.

Currently, his condition seems positive, as he was able to play against Spain without a protective mask, indicating that his nose injury might not be severe. If surgery is necessary, it will be scheduled after the presentation.

Following these formalities, Mbappe will head to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. He will travel in a private vehicle, accompanied by his family, and will visit his new locker room.

He is set to inherit the number 9 shirt, previously worn by Karim Benzema. This number will be prominently displayed as he steps onto the pitch for the first time as a Real Madrid player.

It is said that the club will issue a statement today detailing how to obtain tickets for the presentation event. Due to the high demand, priority will be given to club members based on their rank.

After the presentation, Mbappe will return to his vacation and might undergo surgery if necessary. He is expected to join the team on August 8th, in time for training ahead of the European Super Cup on August 14th in Warsaw, against Atalanta.

After this much-needed break, Mbappe will embark on a new chapter of his career. With only five days left until his presentation, anticipation is building for what promises to be an exciting era for both Mbappe and Real Madrid.

Real Madrid star presented with golden opportunity to seal Ballon d’Or triumph

With the Euro and Copa America finals approaching, the period for Ballon d’Or 2024 consideration is about to close.

These final two matches represent the last opportunities for frontrunners of the individual award to make a significant impact.

Given their dominant domestic seasons, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr. are top contenders for the award. However, Vinicius’ early exit with Brazil widens the field of candidates.

Bellingham’s golden opportunity

Now, Jude Bellingham has a golden opportunity to secure the Ballon d’Or if he leads his team to victory in the Euros.

Taking on Spain in the finals, a victory would ensure that the Champions League winner is awarded a first-place position on the Ballon d’Or podium.

His impressive stats at the Euros coupled with his two match-winning goals strengthen his chances of achieving victory. And a triumph on such a grand stage would cap off a stellar season, making a strong case for his candidacy.

However, if Spain clinch the title in the final, the competition for the Ballon d’Or becomes much more open.

Given the Ballon d’Or’s tradition of placing significant importance on performances in international tournaments, the prospect of a Spanish player winning the award increases considerably if Spain wins the final.

In that case, Rodri stands as one of the frontrunners. Having won the Premier League with Manchester City and proving himself one of Spain’s most crucial performers in midfield, he would be a legitimate candidate.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s very own Dani Carvajal also would be a realistic option. He contributed considerably to Los Blancos’ trophies and scored the opener in the UEFA Champions League final.

The Euro final is pivotal for Bellingham’s Ballon d’Or prospects. Winning and performing well could secure the award for him. Finalists will be announced on September 4, with the grand ceremony set to take place on October 28.
