While the official announcement of Kylian Mbappe’s arrival at Real Madrid might be delayed until after the Champions League final, details regarding his contract are starting to emerge.

The Frenchman, after all, will arguably become the club’s most important signing since Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009 – one that may define the team’s road ahead in the years to come.

How much will Mbappe earn at Real Madrid?

According to Sky Sports, Kylian Mbappe is prepared to take a significant pay cut to secure his dream move to the Bernabeu.

His reported new contract offers a salary of €15 million per year after tax, a substantial decrease from the estimated €75 million gross he was earning in the final year of his PSG contract.

This financial sacrifice is further emphasized by the reported €150 million signing-on bonus, which will be paid out over five years. While a significant sum, the instalment scheme should greatly help Real Madrid.

Mbappe’s willingness to accept a smaller salary reflects his long-held desire to play for Real Madrid.

As previously mentioned, his emotional video announcing his departure from PSG hinted at a yearning for a new challenge, and that challenge clearly lies in the Spanish capital.

Needless to say, Mbappe will instantly become one of the highest earners upon his arrival at the Bernabeu. But his salary at Real Madrid will only be a fraction of what the Frenchman would have received elsewhere, which speaks volumes about his desire to play Los Blancos.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, could benefit greatly from this strategic move. Mbappe’s arrival not only injects their attack with immediate firepower but also ensures their future remains bright.

His presence alongside established stars like Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior creates a frightening attacking lineup that could dominate European football for years to come.

Speaking in an interview with Sport BILD (h/t AS), Germany legend Michael Ballack has claimed that Bayer Leverkusen sensation Florian Wirtz is ready to play for Real Madrid.

Wirtz is a player that Real Madrid have been closely monitoring for a while now, with the German sensation being seen as a long-term replacement for Toni Kroos, who announced his retirement yesterday.

A move for Wirtz is being planned for the summer of 2025 and Ballack believes that the Bundesliga title winner with Leverkusen is ready for the big move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

“Wirtz is ready for Real Madrid,” said Ballack.

“In terms of football, Wirtz can definitely play for Real Madrid. You can also see it in Jude Bellingham after his move from BVB: when you play with even better players, you become even better,” he added.

Wirtz has a contract with Bayer Leverkusen that runs until the summer of 2027. As things stand, the new German champions have no intentions of selling their prized asset this year.

However, there appears to be an acceptance that the German international will be on the move in 2025.

Other top clubs like Manchester City and Bayern Munich are also understood to be interested, but Real Madrid are likely to beat them in the race should it come down to that next year.

A move for Wirtz, though, could cost in excess of €100 million for Real Madrid should they do indeed decide to proceed with his signing next year.
