Revealed: The top three current best-selling shirts at Real Madrid

With a wonderfully-talented young squad ahead of the new 23/24 season, Real Madrid fans are raring to get stuck into the action to see what the Galacticos can achieve this season.
And amid the hype, a saleswoman from the official club store in Madrid explained Madrid Universal which three shirts have been in most demand ahead of what promises to be a thrilling season if Carlo Ancelotti gets all the pieces to fit.
3. Jude Bellingham
Real Madrid’s marquee signing of the summer so far comes from Borussia Dortmund bearing great expectations on his shoulders. The 20-year-old burst onto the scene in Germany, fast establishing himself as one of the most talented players in the world.
He was widely sought-after, but the Englishman was quick to snub other interested parties to join what he considers the biggest club in the world.

Inheriting the no5 jersey donned by icons like Zinedine Zidane and Fabio Cannavaro, his shirt is the third-most requested in the store so far this summer. If he hits the ground running when the season starts, the number is sure to shoot up massively.
2. Luka Modric
This one hardly requires any explanation. A pillar of the Los Blancos midfield, Modric seems to be entering what could be the final season of his stint in the iconic Madrid white.
The Croatian has aged like a fine wine, and the fans continue to be delighted by his immaculate footballing IQ week-in and week-out. Modric consequently stands number two on the list of most requested kits at the moment.
If he were to announce his departure at the end of this campaign, the demand for shirts with his name on the back is bound to increase as well.
1. Vinicius Junior
Following Karim Benzema’s departure, the electrifying Brazilian seems to be taking up the natural role of the club’s new stalwart.
Vini is now quite the superstar and understandably a fan favourite at the Santiago Bernabeu. After a rough start initially, he has come into his own as one of the best attacking players in world football.
And now, after inheriting the iconic no7 shirt, the buzz around what he can do wearing it has reached new heights. His shirt has become the most-requested one at the official club store.

French midfielder admits considering PSG move before Real Madrid called him

Aurelien Tchouameni has had an exciting start to his career at Real Madrid. Since joining the club for almost €80 million last summer, the young Frenchman has now become a pivotal figure in Real Madrid’s midfield unit.
However, prior to his move to Santiago Bernabeu, the midfielder was closely linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
In a recent interview, Tchouameni opened up on his links to PSG but revealed his decision to join Real Madrid.
Aurelien Tchouameni on PSG links
Talking about speculations linking him to PSG, Tchouameni said (h/t Madrid Zone), “PSG? Frankly, I thought about it. It’s a very big European club, we want the French clubs to succeed.”
“But honestly, when Real Madrid calls you, it’s very complicated to say no,” Tchouameni added.

The midfielder was linked with a move to PSG during his time at AS Monaco. Les Parisiens wanted to sign the youngster as part of their plans to reinforce the midfield unit.
Tchouameni, though, ended up opting for a move to Real Madrid, which turned out to be a prudent decision from the midfielder’s end.
Tchouameni’s career at Real Madrid
Aurelien Tchouameni made a total of 50 competitive appearances during his maiden season at Real Madrid.
Although the Frenchman was not entirely a first-team regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, his stature in the team is expected to grow in the coming years.
Especially as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric move on at the end of the season, there is scope for Tchouameni to become a first-team regular in the Real Madrid midfield in the years to come.
The former AS Monaco starlet has already played a crucial role in the starting eleven so far this season and it is only going to continue as the season progresses.

I still don’t see any consistency in the way Vinicius plays. He overdoes the dribbling, loses the ball easily in the process, doesn’t pass the ball to teammates who may be better positioned to score, and so comes across as selfish, and he doesn’t run after the ball after he has lost it. For me, he still needs much growing and maturing to realize his latent potential.
