Vinicius Jr has been visibly pushed to the edge through the course of the season with repeated incidents of racism targeted at him across the country. The Brazilian has always been a vocal advocate of eradicating the racism disease in football, but the La Liga and the Spanish football federation have taken few steps towards the steep issue.

The events at Mestalla on Sunday night appeared to be the final nail in the coffin. Vinicius, who was not only subjected to racial abuse for the better part of the game, was even sent off by the referee close to the final whistle.

This time, the winger’s feathers had been ruffled too much and he burst out on his social media with a long message directed against La Liga and Spain. As part of that tweet, he even said that he would go ‘far away’ if needed to eliminate the problem and rumours of an exit sparked.

“But I am strong and I will go to the end against racists. Even if far from here.”

According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, Vinicius Jr is absolutely not considering an exit from Real Madrid despite the recent incident. Those close to the player say that he only wants to stay and beat racism in Spain. Moreover, a long-term deal has already been signed by the player month ago.

The report has been furthered by ESPN Brazil who maintain that the winger is ‘on the edge’ but still does not consider leaving the club.

The player has always remained completely committed to the club, and many see him in the white colours until the day he retires. Recently, his agent Frederico Pena hinted at the same, when he said:

“I would tell you right now there’s a big chance that he’s the kind of player who stays in one club and makes history there and stays there for 15-plus years.”

After all, he is one of the team’s most important players at such a young age and resonates with the fans at Santiago Bernabeu.

It is thus up to La Liga to bring in stringent measures and curb racism incidents. After all, today’s game has evolved far beyond differences of race, colour and ethnicity.

Harry Kane ‘very close’ to completing Real Madrid move, only final details remain – report

Jude Bellingham’s move to Real Madrid was finally closed earlier today as officially confirmed by Borussia Dortmund on their website. Yet, the offices at Santiago Bernabeu have not even taken a break to celebrate their success.

According to reports from Alfredo Pedullà, Los Blancos are now completely focused on the acquisition of Harry Kane. The English striker’s arrival is very close to approaching closure and only a few details remain to be sorted.

The Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur representatives reportedly held a meeting today over the striker’s transfer. The agenda was to agree on a number for the transfer fee.

The Premier League side began the proceedings with an expectation of €100 to €110 million in exchange for Kane. However, the Merengues suggested a lower point at €80 to €90 million, albeit with the option to include bonuses.

There is not much separating the two parties at the moment, and the minor gap will be bridged in the coming days. Overall, the meeting ended with a broad understanding between the two clubs.

Carlo Ancelotti sees the English striker as the centre-piece of his attack for next season given the recent departure of Karim Benzema. After all, Kane has been one of football’s most consistent goalscorers over the past decade.

Yet, Los Blancos cannot afford to let their guard down with one signing and will need to rope in at least two more names in attack to serve as backup options. The exits of Mariano Diaz, Marco Asensio, and Eden Hazard leave them with no squad depth, after all.

Kane has scored 30, 17, and 23 goals in his last three seasons in the Premier League and is the epitome of consistency. Further, he had three assists in his most recent league season and created 14 big chances.
