FC Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati continues to face an uncertain future due to the Blaugrana’s dwindling finances and many football pundits have opinionated that Real Madrid must pounce on the given opportunity.

As such, journalist Tomas Roncero commented: “What if we (Real Madrid) signed Ansu Fati and gave him, at the Bernabéu, the treatment his quality deserves? With Vinicius and Rodrigo, he will form a luxurious trio.”

Another journalist Josep Pedrerol said: “Ansu Fati wants to succeed at Barça, but if they don’t want him, let them tell him, he deserves to be happy to play football again, at Barça, at Atleti… or at Real Madrid.”

While there are no direct links per se, these opinions have raised several questions and while speaking to the press ahead of Barcelona’s home game against Cadiz, manager Xavi seemed rather disappointed and a bit angry with the links.

When asked about the possibility of Ansu Fati moving to Real Madrid, he said, “This is a joke, isn’t it? I have already been very blunt about Ansu. Debates are being generated that make no sense. Ansu is an important player and is part of the club’s heritage, now and in the future.”

What has Ancelotti said?

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti was asked the same question, but the main man decided not to put much thought into it, saying:

“He is a young man who is very talented and who is going to have a great future. That’s all.”

While the tip of the opinion does sound exciting, the fact of the matter remains that Ansu to Real Madrid just does not seem right.

It is true that Barcelona might have to part ways with the young forward in order to comply with the Financial Fair Play regulation but there is no way that the 20-year-old would end up at Real Madrid.

Aurelien Tchouameni has had an exciting start to his career at Real Madrid. Since joining the club for almost €80 million last summer, the young Frenchman has now become a pivotal figure in Real Madrid’s midfield unit.

However, prior to his move to Santiago Bernabeu, the midfielder was closely linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

In a recent interview, Tchouameni opened up on his links to PSG but revealed his decision to join Real Madrid.

Talking about speculations linking him to PSG, Tchouameni said (h/t Madrid Zone), “PSG? Frankly, I thought about it. It’s a very big European club, we want the French clubs to succeed.”

“But honestly, when Real Madrid calls you, it’s very complicated to say no,” Tchouameni added.

The midfielder was linked with a move to PSG during his time at AS Monaco. Les Parisiens wanted to sign the youngster as part of their plans to reinforce the midfield unit.

Tchouameni, though, ended up opting for a move to Real Madrid, which turned out to be a prudent decision from the midfielder’s end.

Tchouameni’s career at Real Madrid

Aurelien Tchouameni made a total of 50 competitive appearances during his maiden season at Real Madrid.

Although the Frenchman was not entirely a first-team regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, his stature in the team is expected to grow in the coming years.

Especially as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric move on at the end of the season, there is scope for Tchouameni to become a first-team regular in the Real Madrid midfield in the years to come.

The former AS Monaco starlet has already played a crucial role in the starting eleven so far this season and it is only going to continue as the season progresses.
