Vinicius Jr. breaks silence on Real Madrid contract situation: ‘Everything will be discussed…’
For months, speculation surrounding Vinicius Jr.’s future at Real Madrid has refused to go away.
With his current deal entering its final year, questions about a possible renewal have followed the Brazilian wherever he goes.
But if anyone expected the Real Madrid superstar to provide answers before Brazil’s World Cup campaign gets underway, they were left disappointed.
Speaking ahead of Brazil’s opening match against Morocco, Vinicius made it clear that contract discussions are not occupying his thoughts right now.
Instead, his attention is fixed on helping Brazil reclaim football’s biggest prize and write his name into the country’s history books.
Vinicius puts Real Madrid talks on hold
Contract negotiations have become one of the biggest talking points surrounding Vinicius in recent months.

As one of Real Madrid’s most important players, the Brazilian is expected to hold fresh talks with the club regarding a new deal. However, those discussions will have to wait.
Addressing the situation during his press conference, as relayed by Mundo Deportivo, the winger insisted that all conversations regarding his club future have been temporarily paused.
“I’m with the national team now and everything regarding Real Madrid will be discussed once the World Cup is over.
“Right now I’m focused on the World Cup,” he affirmed.
The response leaves little room for interpretation. While negotiations may be looming in the background, Vinicius has no intention of allowing them to distract him from Brazil’s objectives this summer.
Chasing something bigger than individual awards

While many players arrive at a World Cup dreaming of personal accolades, Vinicius insists his priorities lie elsewhere.
The Real Madrid attacker stressed that his ambition is not to finish as the tournament’s standout performer, but to help Brazil return to the summit of world football.
“I just want to make the most of this opportunity and show everyone that we can be champions.”
Although Vinicius has parked contract discussions for now, the reality is that the World Cup could still play a major role in influencing what happens next.
The winger enters the tournament with just one year remaining on his current Real Madrid deal, making the coming months particularly significant for both player and club.
Hence, a standout campaign with Brazil would shift the pendulum in his favour during negotiations with Real Madrid and vice versa.

Confirmed: Real Madrid starting lineup against Elche – Guler in for Bellingham
Real Madrid will be looking to pick up their fifth win of the 2026/27 La Liga season when they take on Elche CF at Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero later tonight.
With 12 points from five games, Los Blancos are currently second in the league table, three points below leaders FC Barcelona.
As such, the Spanish capital club will be eager to get the win and close the gap to the top.
Guler starts, Bellingham rested
Ahead of kickoff, Real Madrid have announced the starting lineup that will take the field against Elche, with Jose Mourinho making some important changes.
For starters, Arda Guler is back in the lineup after appearing as a substitute in the win over Rayo Vallecano.
Interestingly, however, he starts in the attacking midfield role, with Mourinho opting to rest Jude Bellingham, who has started all of Real Madrid’s games so far.
That also means that Yan Diomande retains his place in the team, starting for a second time in a row on the right wing. Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr. continue in their respective positions in attack.
Another notable change sees Aurelien Tchouameni make his first start of the season after recovering from injury and making two appearances off the bench.
He replaces Bernardo Silva as Federico Valverde’s partner in the middle of the park.
Meanwhile, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Marc Cucurella come in as full-backs, while Ibrahima Konate and Dean Huijsen slot in at centre-back in front of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
