Confirmed: Real Madrid squad list to face Real Sociedad | La Liga MD 1
Real Madrid have officially named their squad for the upcoming La Liga clash against Real Sociedad.
For the first time this season, Los Blancos will take to the pitch at the Santiago Bernabeu.
More notably, it will mark Jose Mourinho’s first game back at Real Madrid’s home stadium in more than 13 years.
The Portuguese coach began the new campaign with a victory over Espanyol, but the performance left room for improvement.
Mourinho will now hope that his players can raise their level in front of the home supporters as Real Madrid look to build on their winning start.
The squad list also confirms that some familiar absentees are still unavailable, while three youngsters have been handed the chance to complete the group for the important home fixture.
Tchouameni and Endrick remain unavailable

Both players have once again been left out as they continue working through their respective physical issues.
Their absences mean Mourinho will have to manage without two important options as he prepares for the Real Sociedad match.
Tchouameni’s situation has been handled with particular caution, with the club unwilling to bring him back before he is fully ready.
Endrick also remains unavailable, leaving Real Madrid without another attacking option.
With injuries affecting the senior squad, Mourinho has turned to Real Madrid’s academy to complete his group.
Marios Rivas, Jorge Cestero and Alexis Ciria have all been included in the squad for the clash against Real Sociedad.
Yan Diomande’s rise at Real Madrid is now reflected in his market valuation, with the summer signing reaching €120 million in Transfermarkt’s latest update.
Notably, the €30 million increase is the biggest recorded for any La Liga player in the update, placing the young winger among the most valuable footballers in Spain despite his limited playing time under Jose Mourinho.
The valuation also puts Diomande in the same bracket as teammate Arda Guler, whose market value has reached €100 million.
More strikingly, the gap between Diomande and Vinicius Jr. has narrowed considerably after the Brazilian’s valuation fell to €130 million.
What’s the story?
Real Madrid signed Diomande from RB Leipzig for €125 million, excluding bonuses, during the summer transfer window.
His latest market value is now approaching that initial outlay, showing how quickly his reputation has grown.
The trajectory becomes even more striking when viewed over a longer period.
Transfermarkt valued Diomande at just €1.5 million 12 months ago before raising that figure to €20 million in October 2025. He has since climbed into La Liga’s €100 million club.
Diomande now ranks sixth among the league’s most valuable players, behind Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, Pedri and Vinicius.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid teammate Carlos Espi has also enjoyed a significant increase, rising by €20 million to €40 million.
Diomande’s numbers are attracting attention
His valuation has risen faster than his role in Mourinho’s team, as Diomande has played just 292 minutes for Real Madrid, starting only twice, as the manager looks to develop him without immediately placing excessive responsibility on his shoulders.
The numbers nevertheless offer reasons for optimism, with Diomande averaging 4.84 successful dribbles, 3.13 fouls won, 1.42 successful crosses and 8.83 offensive duels won per 90 minutes. He also averages 0.28 assists and 3.7 successful defensive duels.
Those figures are above the averages of La Liga’s top five wingers in the cited statistical comparison.
Mourinho’s patience could pay off for Real Madrid
The challenge now is translating those promising metrics into consistent performances at the Santiago Bernabeu.
A €120 million valuation brings expectations, but Diomande’s limited minutes suggest Mourinho is taking a longer view of his development.
Rather than rushing the winger into a starring role, Real Madrid can gradually increase his responsibilities while allowing him to adapt, which could bear fruit in the long run.
