One condition must be met for Real Madrid to move for Michael Olise – Romano
Michael Olise’s name has sounded loud in Madrid over the past 24 hours, and rightfully so given how reports have made the move a genuine possibility of coming through.
The Bayern Munich star has been Florentino Perez’s top target for a long time now, and the ongoing FIFA World Cup has only furthered that desire.
As reported earlier this week, the player has finally opened up to close teammates about his desire to push for the move this summer, and Real Madrid are said to be aware of the development.

Now, Fabrizio Romano provides an update on Real Madrid’s stance on the Olise situation and the club’s plan ahead to achieve the objective they have marked in red.
The ever-reliable Italian journalist further states that Los Blancos are very calm and quiet about the French winger and that they are not planning any hasty moves.
They are waiting for the eventual call from either Bayern Munich or from the player himself, based on whether or not the winger informs the Bavarians of his desire.
If they receive a call from either party, they are ready to push forward and make the move a reality with an official offer. Until they receive interest from the opposite side, however, they will not make any moves.
A record fee to be involved
Bayern Munich rate Olise highly, and the French winger is one of the most in-demand and in-form players in world football at the moment. A transfer, thus, will be anything but simple.
The German giants are expected to fight tooth and nail to keep the player, but if they are forced to sell him, they will do so only if a record fee is involved.
Word has it that they expect a fee of €200 to €250 million for their star winger, and all signs point to the deal having to cross Neymar Jr.’s record €222 million move to PSG for it to come to fruition.
As matters stand, Real Madrid have never spent in excess of €150 million in transfer fees for a new signing, and Olise must become the club’s record signing by some distance if he is to arrive at the Spanish capital this summer.

Kylian Mbappe has been named Real Madrid Player of the Month for August after an impressive start to the 2026/27 season.
The French forward was recognised for his performances during the month, featuring in all three of Real Madrid’s matches and scoring four goals.
Mbappe opened his goalscoring account for the season in Real Madrid’s second game of the season against Real Sociedad, plundering a hat-trick in a 4-1 win.
The France captain was on target again in the next game, scoring in a 4-0 win over newly-promoted La Liga side, Malaga.

Mbappe happy with positive start
After receiving the award at the training facilities earlier today, Mbappe spoke to RMTV, talking positively about the team’s start to the campaign and outlined his ambitions for the months ahead.
“We’ve started the season positively. I hope we can continue like this on Saturday. I think there can be a lot of success this season,” he said.
The Real Madrid forward is determined to play his part as the team pursue trophies on multiple fronts.
“I’m really looking forward to helping the team and showing that we can do great things this year. I’m always happy to play here. I know it’s a privilege,” he noted.
Welcoming the new arrivals
Mbappe also discussed the new faces who have joined the squad, stressing the importance of ensuring everyone settles quickly into the team.
After all, Real Madrid have made as many as six new additions in Ibrahima Konate, Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, Carlos Espi, Denzel Dumfries, and Yan Diomande.
“It’s always good to see new faces. They come wanting to help the badge and Real Madrid. We’ve tried to make sure everyone adapts in the best possible way so that we can all move in the same direction,” he stated.
With the squad continuing to improve, Mbappe believes unity will be crucial as Real Madrid aim for a successful season.
