Palmeiras wonderkid and Real Madrid transfer target Endrick has named Vinicius Jr among the players he admires and has backed the Brazilian to star at the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Endrick is a man in demand in the transfer market even though he is just 16 years old and cannot move to Europe until he turns 18.

Real Madrid are one of the leading candidates to sign the teenage striker, while the likes of Barcelona, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain also remain in the hunt.

Endrick has now admitted that he desires to move to Europe sometime in the future, but is currently not paying any attention to the rumours about a transfer.

“Obviously my dream is to play in Europe, but I’m focused here. I’m not looking at the things that are being talked about or what teams are coming or what scouts are coming. I’m focused on Palmeiras,” Endrick told EFE (h/t Mundo Deportivo)

Given that both Real Madrid and Barcelona are showing serious interest in him, the 16-year-old was asked which was his favourite club in La Liga. In response, Endrick said: “I have no preference for any team.”

However, Endrick did reveal that he liked to watch Vinicius Jr in action, along with his Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema, as well as Barcelona duo Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski.

“Benzema , Lewandowski, Vinicius Jr, Raphinha are high-class players that I try to watch to learn from them,” the Palmeiras wonderkid stated.

Endrick is said to share a good relationship with Vinicius and the 16-year-old claimed that he sees the Real Madrid superstar emerging as one of the best players at the Qatar World Cup.

“I think he will conquer the world and that in this World Cup (in Qatar) he will be one of the best. He will make an extraordinary duo with Neymar,” he said.

On his friendship with the Real Madrid winger, Endrick added: “I never imagined having a friendship with Vini because he is someone I only saw on television and I hope we can have a lasting friendship.”

According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Liverpool are all monitoring Bayer Leverkusen and Germany wonderkid Florian Wirtz.

After recovering from his ACL injury, the teenage sensation has been slowly working his way back to his best form. So far this term, Wirtz has managed to rack up a tally of two goals and six assists from 13 matches in all competitions.

The 19-year-old’s talent and potential have never been in question and hence it does not come as a surprise that elite clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Liverpool are all keeping tabs on the German international.

A versatile attacking midfielder, Wirtz is capable of playing anywhere in the final third of the pitch and backs up with top-notch end product. Be it as a false-nine or in a more withdrawn role, the youngster has excelled for Bayer Leverkusen, catching the attention of top teams.

Real Madrid, for their part, are also understood to be among Wirtz’s admirers. Given the situation surrounding Karim Benzema’s fitness and the lack of backup at the top, the youngster could be an option, as he has shown potential while operating through the middle.

But Barcelona also have a strong interest in the teenager with reports even suggesting that they have already made contact with his father to enquire about his situation.

At the same time, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is understood to be a huge admirer of his fellow German and with Roberto Firmino on his way out, Wirtz could be lined up as a possible replacement.

However, Romano adds that the expectation is that Wirtz could stay at Bayer Leverkusen for one more year and depart Germany once the UEFA Euro 2024 is out of the way.

For now, there have been talks or negotiations with any clubs, but Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool are all tracking Wirtz and his progress in Germany.
