Eduardo Camavinga may have had a slow start to life at Real Madrid upon arriving from Rennes in 2021. But there is no denying that the 20-year-old is now one of the main players in the team.

While his qualities on the ball and potential were never in doubt, Camavinga has displayed exceptional versatility and defensive capabilities of late, starring as a holding midfielder and even in a makeshift left-back position for Real Madrid.

The French international was one of the best performers for Los Blancos as they defeated FC Barcelona 4-0 at Spotify Camp Nou last night in the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg.

It is another one in a series of impressive performances from Camavinga, which has left the Real Madrid officials very happy.

So much so that, COPE (h/t Madrid Xtra) is reporting that Real Madrid are planning to offer Camavinga a new contract with a drastically improved salary and a higher release clause amount.

As things stand, the 20-year-old’s current deal with the Merengues runs until the summer of 2027. But the club wants to add two more years to that deal and tie him down at the club until 2029.

The former Rennes wonderkid is understood to be one of the lowest earners in the squad. And considering how he has grown over the past couple of seasons, Real Madrid wish to offer him a new deal with a much higher salary.

Camavinga’s current release clause value stands at €700 million and it has previously been reported that the club wishes to raise it to €1 billion.

It is further claimed that club president Florentino Perez loves the young midfielder and he is seen as an ‘untouchable’ in the squad.

Premier League clubs had been circling around Camavinga during the January transfer window, but Real Madrid never considered parting ways with him and have always maintained that the starlet is not for sale.

The Spanish champions now wish to drive that point home by tying him down to an even longer contract with a higher salary and release clause value.

Harry Kane ‘very close’ to completing Real Madrid move, only final details remain – report

Jude Bellingham’s move to Real Madrid was finally closed earlier today as officially confirmed by Borussia Dortmund on their website. Yet, the offices at Santiago Bernabeu have not even taken a break to celebrate their success.

According to reports from Alfredo Pedullà, Los Blancos are now completely focused on the acquisition of Harry Kane. The English striker’s arrival is very close to approaching closure and only a few details remain to be sorted.

The Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur representatives reportedly held a meeting today over the striker’s transfer. The agenda was to agree on a number for the transfer fee.

The Premier League side began the proceedings with an expectation of €100 to €110 million in exchange for Kane. However, the Merengues suggested a lower point at €80 to €90 million, albeit with the option to include bonuses.

There is not much separating the two parties at the moment, and the minor gap will be bridged in the coming days. Overall, the meeting ended with a broad understanding between the two clubs.

Carlo Ancelotti sees the English striker as the centre-piece of his attack for next season given the recent departure of Karim Benzema. After all, Kane has been one of football’s most consistent goalscorers over the past decade.

Yet, Los Blancos cannot afford to let their guard down with one signing and will need to rope in at least two more names in attack to serve as backup options. The exits of Mariano Diaz, Marco Asensio, and Eden Hazard leave them with no squad depth, after all.

Kane has scored 30, 17, and 23 goals in his last three seasons in the Premier League and is the epitome of consistency. Further, he had three assists in his most recent league season and created 14 big chances.
