Real Madrid winger in advanced talks to sign for PSG this summer

The pressure to decide his future has been on Marco Asensio for a while now. Forced to choose between an extension at Real Madrid with a secondary role or a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu, he has spent a long time on the fence.
The Spanish international’s future finally took a possibly definitive direction last night. In a meeting with Jose Angel Sanchez, the player’s entourage communicated that he was looking for a move away from the club.
Now, according to reports from ESPN, Asensio is in advanced talks to sign for PSG in June. The good relationship between his agent, Jorge Mendes, and PSG’s sporting director Luis Campos has been key in the negotiations.
The French club are looking for options to replace Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr, both of whom appear to be on their way out of Paris. Asensio’s signing would go away in the club’s efforts to convince Kylian Mbappe to stay and see out his contract until 2025 at least.
The lack of regular starts has been a factor pushing Asensio away from the Spanish capital for a while now. Though he has seen a larger role this season, the manager refuses to commit a regular starting spot to the winger.
The 27-year-old has only started 15 of his 30 league games for Real Madrid this season. In that duration, he has managed to score nine goals and has provided six assists. Further, he averages 1.6 key passes per game and has created nine big chances so far.
Having been a Real Madrid player for almost eight years, Asensio will now bid goodbye to the Santiago Bernabeu.
And even though he is courting interest from Aston Villa, AC Milan, and Juventus, it seems like PSG will be the 27-year-old’s next destination.

Real Madrid youngster impresses Ancelotti, Kroos, and Messi in training – report

Real Madrid have a host of talent coming through their youth setup, with the likes of Sergio Arribas, Vinicius Tobias, and Nico Paz impressing the club through their performances with Real Madrid Castilla.
Paz, especially, has been touted as one of the biggest talents coming through the Madrid academy. He is considered ‘the’ talent from the youth setup, with a lot of expectations around him.
A midfielder by trade, Paz has seemingly impressed two of the biggest names in world football, according to MARCA.
One of them is Toni Kroos, who has watched Paz closely during training with the senior team. The German complimented him, as well, saying, “This boy should train with us every day because he is terrific.”
He has also seemingly created an impression on none other than Lionel Messi, while the two were training with Argentina together.
Carlo Ancelotti has also joined the praise parade for Paz, “He has projections to play in the first team. He is doing very well with Arbeloa and the times he was used by Raúl he has also done very well at Castilla.”
Paz has already been included in the squad list for two games so far this season, and will continue to train with Real Madrid’s senior squad. He is also expected to be a part of los blancos’ pre-season tour, after which he could get minutes next season.
Real Madrid have renewed the Argentine’s contract up until 2027, as they wanted to lock him down quickly for the long-term. There, is however, a chance he could leave Madrid on lock next season to get minutes with a senior division side.
