Six Real Madrid stars feature among CIES’ Top 15 Most Valuable Footballers

Center for Sports Studies (CIES) has recently published its list of the 15 most valuable footballers on the planet, which features no less than six Real Madrid stars, as reported by AS.
Vinicius Junior tops the list, as the most valuable player in the world. The Brazilian is valued at €250 million, which is hardly a surprise as the forward has been in tremendous form over the past few seasons – firmly establishing himself as the main frontman for Real Madrid.
Other Los Blancos stars featuring on the list include Jude Bellingham. The Englishman is also valued at €250 million. Bellingham’s high valuable was reflected earlier this summer when Real Madrid paid a fortune to rope in him from Borussia Dortmund.
Rodrygo is another player that features on the list. The Brazilian winger is valued at €200 million, largely thanks to his rapid development over the past couple of years. With key players leaving the club, many expect Rodrygo to step up this season and become the undisputed starter on the right flank.
The other three Real Madrid players who feature on the list are Federico Valverde, Eder Militao, and Eduardo Camavinga.
Valverde is ranked 12th on the list, with a transfer valuation of €100 million. This has a lot to do with his productive 2022/23 season, where he was able to score goals and become a lethal option in the final third.
Eder Militao and Camavinga are 13th and 15th on the list, respectively, with the same valuation as Valverde. Militao has become the undisputed starter in the Real Madrid defence, whereas Camavinga has enjoyed a swift turnaround since the turn of the year.
Real Madrid may end up having seven players in the top 15 if the club are able to secure the signing of Kylian Mbappe. The Frenchman has been closely linked with a move to the Bernabeu this summer, though Los Blancos prefer to sign him in 2024.

French midfielder admits considering PSG move before Real Madrid called him

Aurelien Tchouameni has had an exciting start to his career at Real Madrid. Since joining the club for almost €80 million last summer, the young Frenchman has now become a pivotal figure in Real Madrid’s midfield unit.
However, prior to his move to Santiago Bernabeu, the midfielder was closely linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
In a recent interview, Tchouameni opened up on his links to PSG but revealed his decision to join Real Madrid.
Aurelien Tchouameni on PSG links
Talking about speculations linking him to PSG, Tchouameni said (h/t Madrid Zone), “PSG? Frankly, I thought about it. It’s a very big European club, we want the French clubs to succeed.”
“But honestly, when Real Madrid calls you, it’s very complicated to say no,” Tchouameni added.

The midfielder was linked with a move to PSG during his time at AS Monaco. Les Parisiens wanted to sign the youngster as part of their plans to reinforce the midfield unit.
Tchouameni, though, ended up opting for a move to Real Madrid, which turned out to be a prudent decision from the midfielder’s end.
Tchouameni’s career at Real Madrid
Aurelien Tchouameni made a total of 50 competitive appearances during his maiden season at Real Madrid.
Although the Frenchman was not entirely a first-team regular in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, his stature in the team is expected to grow in the coming years.
Especially as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric move on at the end of the season, there is scope for Tchouameni to become a first-team regular in the Real Madrid midfield in the years to come.
The former AS Monaco starlet has already played a crucial role in the starting eleven so far this season and it is only going to continue as the season progresses.
