Through a combination of poor form and injuries, Eden Hazard’s tenure at Real Madrid so far has been a nightmare. The Belgian international was the chosen one to replace Cristiano Ronaldo as the club’s talisman, but his career graph has only moved downward ever since.

According to reports from MARCA, the former Chelsea player worked hard in the summer to return in his best shape. His hard work has paid off as Carlo Ancelotti and his staff were impressed by his fitness level in the first pre-season training session.

It is Hazard’s dream to play and conquer with Real Madrid, as he has revealed innumerable times. Though he is now a Champions League winner with Los Blancos, it is not difficult to understand why he is not satisfied with the accomplishment.

During the celebrations after the UCL win, he promised in front of half a million fans that he would return to his original best.

Madridistas, I have been here for three years with many injuries. But next year, I’m going to give everything for you.”

The addition of a fully fit and raring Hazard to Ancelotti’s side would elevate them to another level. The Belgian’s newfound dedication is a major step in that direction, but it is equally important to know that his recent surgery has almost completely eliminated his ankle discomfort.

Last season, Hazard only participated in 18 league matches and provided one assist. Moreover, he only participated in three Champions League games.

The Belgian wing-wizard will face competition from Rodrygo Goes and Marco Asensio to fill the third spot in the forward line. Nevertheless, the world knows that an in-form Hazard would not be threatened even by the best in the world.
