Official: Real Madrid confirm hamstring injury to forward; ten days out
In a concerning update, Real Madrid have officially announced that forward Rodrygo Goes has been sidelined with a hamstring issue.
“Following tests carried out today on our player Rodrygo by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with tendinosis in the hamstring of his right leg. His recovery will be monitored,” the club statement read.
The 25-year-old attacker had not trained with the rest of the group on Thursday or today, instead opting to work inside the facilities.
It had given way to doubts over his availability for Sunday’s La Liga clash against Valencia at Mestalla, where he was primed to start as Vinicius Jr. was ruled out through suspension.

Now, though, Rodrygo will miss the game against Valencia. Not only that, but his availability for the subsequent La Liga fixture against Real Sociedad next week could also be in doubt.
After all, journalist Arancha Rodriguez reports that the former Santos prodigy is expected to be out for a period of ten days.
Rodrygo has barely featured prominently under new manager Alvaro Arbeloa, having missed his first three matches in charge due to muscle issue.
Since returning, he did not get any minutes against Villarreal and played less than 50 minutes across two games against Benfica and Rayo Vallecano. Now, he is set to face more time out on the sidelines.

Dusan Vlahovic breaks silence on Real Madrid links after Besiktas move: ‘I’ve thought about it a lot’
Dusan Vlahovic’s summer could have taken him to Spain, but the Serbian striker has revealed why this dream move never materialised.
Vlahovic was offered to several major sides during the transfer window, with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid among the clubs linked with his situation.
At the time, his preference was to play in La Liga, although he did not have one particular Spanish club in mind.
A move never materialised. Instead, Vlahovic opted for Besiktas, bringing an end to a summer in which his representatives explored multiple possibilities.
What’s the story?
The striker has now addressed that period, stating that plenty of clubs were involved before he settled on his next destination.
Vlahovic confirmed that his situation generated considerable interest, although he declined to discuss individual clubs in detail.
“I’ve spoken with many clubs. Being a free agent was normal. Many teams have asked for information or tried to sign me.
“The transfer market is a very dynamic process: one day something happens and the next everything can change.
“I’ve thought about it a lot, I’ve been patient, and in the end, I think I’ve made the best decision for my career. Time will tell if that’s the case, but I’m convinced.”
He then addressed his links with Real Madrid and other European heavyweights, but refused to provide details out of respect for Besiktas.
“Interest from Bayern, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atlético de Madrid? I don’t want to talk about that.
“Right now, my only focus is Besiktas, because I’m their player and I want to get back to my best form to achieve the best results,” Vlahovic stated, as per Defensa Central.
Why did Vlahovic choose Besiktas?
The forward said that the decisive factor was not necessarily the biggest name involved. Rather, it was the club that showed the strongest commitment to signing him.
Vlahovic explained why Besiktas ultimately stood out from the alternatives.
“They did everything possible to sign me, because they contacted me throughout the summer, and I felt very satisfied.”
That persistence appears to have made the difference.
While his representatives looked for a route to Spain and explored opportunities with some of Europe’s biggest clubs, Besiktas continued pushing for the player.
