Real Madrid coaching staff impressed by the performances of Asensio, Camavinga

The Real Madrid squad is shaping up nicely this season. Three months into the new season, there appears to be a solid core in the starting eleven and coach Carlo Ancelotti has not had to conduct many experiments, in regard to his team selection.
While starters such as Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Vinicius, David Alaba and even new signing Aurelien Tchouameni have continued to impress, the reserves have also established themselves as useful options.
According to Diario AS, two players, in particular, have impressed the Real Madrid coaching team with their performances from the bench, and they are Marco Asensio and Eduardo Camavinga.
Asensio, who has endured a rapid fall from grace in recent times, is far from being an established starter in the Real Madrid squad. However, the Spaniard has made an impression with his recent cameos, notably scoring against Elche earlier this week.
Camavinga, on the other hand, joined Real Madrid last year. Although the youngster has not established himself as a first-team regular, he has performed well whenever called upon, often offering the energy and spark in the middle of the park.
In the season so far, Camavinga has featured in ten league matches. Although only four of those have been starts, the Frenchman has fared well and has appeared as a reliable option for coach Ancelotti.
In light of Asensio and Camavinga’s good performances, Ancelotti may even consider the possibility of improving their roles in the team. It could lead to more starts for both players – a plan that might be implemented after the end of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Asensio’s return to prominence could prove to be useful in the Spaniard’s bid to earn a new contract at Real Madrid or join a new club in the near future while Camavinga’s bigger role in the team could only help Real Madrid fasten the transition in the midfield unit, especially with Modric and Kroos having their contracts expire at the end of the season.

Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool monitoring 19-year-old Bundesliga wonderkid – Romano

According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Liverpool are all monitoring Bayer Leverkusen and Germany wonderkid Florian Wirtz.
After recovering from his ACL injury, the teenage sensation has been slowly working his way back to his best form. So far this term, Wirtz has managed to rack up a tally of two goals and six assists from 13 matches in all competitions.
The 19-year-old’s talent and potential have never been in question and hence it does not come as a surprise that elite clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Liverpool are all keeping tabs on the German international.
A versatile attacking midfielder, Wirtz is capable of playing anywhere in the final third of the pitch and backs up with top-notch end product. Be it as a false-nine or in a more withdrawn role, the youngster has excelled for Bayer Leverkusen, catching the attention of top teams.
Real Madrid, for their part, are also understood to be among Wirtz’s admirers. Given the situation surrounding Karim Benzema’s fitness and the lack of backup at the top, the youngster could be an option, as he has shown potential while operating through the middle.
But Barcelona also have a strong interest in the teenager with reports even suggesting that they have already made contact with his father to enquire about his situation.
At the same time, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is understood to be a huge admirer of his fellow German and with Roberto Firmino on his way out, Wirtz could be lined up as a possible replacement.
However, Romano adds that the expectation is that Wirtz could stay at Bayer Leverkusen for one more year and depart Germany once the UEFA Euro 2024 is out of the way.
For now, there have been talks or negotiations with any clubs, but Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool are all tracking Wirtz and his progress in Germany.
