Real Madrid sending out-of-favour forward on loan an option for the summer – report

Eden Hazard is closing in on completing four years at Real Madrid, and it is safe to say that nobody envisioned this is how things would go for the Belgian when he made the move from Chelsea.
From arriving overweight and unfit in the summer of 2019, to picking up one injury after another, the former wing-wizard has never got going at the Santiago Bernabeu. The fact that he has not played a single El Clasico despite being in Madrid for four years is telling.
Hazard has fallen completely out of favour under Carlo Ancelotti this season and has not made a league appearance since way back in September. His last game was in January – a Copa del Rey match against minnows Cacereno.
Given that he is one of the highest earners at the club, Real Madrid are hoping to get rid of Hazard in the summer. Although, finding suitors for him could be an issue, especially considering his steep wages.
So, according to AS, Real Madrid would be open to the option of loaning Hazard out for the next season and paying a part of his salary.
Los Blancos are looking to shed some weight from their wage bill and see the Belgian’s exit, even if it is on loan with them bearing some portion of his salary, as a viable option.
Recently, when quizzed about the future of former Belgium captain, manager Ancelotti appeared non-committal. as he said: “For next year I have the players that the club puts at my disposal.”
However, despite his situation, the former Belgian international, whose contract expires in 2024, is keen on remaining at the Santiago Bernabeu for one more year as he is still hoping to turn things around.
Only time will tell how things develop on this front as Real Madrid look to bring an end to their partnership with Hazard, even as the player pushes for continuity.

Official: Real Madrid starting lineup against Elche

The Santiago Bernabeu is ready for the first time in a fortnight as Real Madrid are set to host relegation-threatened Real Valladolid for gameweek 27 of La Liga. The gap between them and Barcelona was increased to 15 yesternight, and los blancos will be looking to cut it down to 12 to scarce the tiniest bit of hope of defending their league crown.
Carlo Ancelotti has opted to use a highly attacking starting lineup for the clash, with Karim Benzema spearheading the front-three. He is flanked by Marco Asensio on the right while Vinicius Jr retains his place on the left.
Rodrygo also gets the nod to start, probably as an attacking midfielder in what looks like a 4-2-3-1.
Aurelien Tchouameni has been given the nod in midfield, with Toni Kroos forming the double pivot alongside him.
With Antonio Rudiger, Ferland Mendy, and Nacho out injured, Eduardo Camavinga gets the license to start as the left-back, while Lucas Vazquez flanks the defence from the right. The usual suspects — Eder Militao and David Alaba — start in central defence.
Thibaut Courtois was a doubt heading into this game, but has been given the medical greenlight to take his place as the goalkeeper.
